IsyTravel: Authentic Travel Experiences for Every Explorer

Isytravel, born from the Bikelife experience, is more than a tour operator; it’s an invitation to live authentic, sincere, and meaningful experiences. Our core principles form the foundation of the travel experiences and daily activities we offer, guided by a deep commitment to sustainability and authenticity.

"Be True" - Be Authentic

Authenticity is at the heart of every journey with Isy Travel. We break down the barriers between tourists and explorers, immersing ourselves in vibrant destinations rich with genuine stories. We venture into unique places where local culture is alive and thriving. Every experience on our platform—whether it’s a multi-day cycling or hiking trip, a day on horseback, or a musical event in nature—is an invitation to connect with the true essence of the location.

With us, you can uncover hidden secrets of iconic and lesser-known places, far from tourist stereotypes. Each adventure offers the chance to savor authentic delicacies prepared with passion and tradition, taking you on a journey through the flavors and aromas that tell the region’s culinary story.

Isy Travel doesn’t just provide itineraries; it offers an opportunity for sincere encounters with local people. We immerse ourselves in their daily lives, building genuine connections that go beyond the surface of conventional tourism.

These activities adapt to the rhythms of local life, featuring experiences in nature, visits to local markets, and unexpected discoveries. Every moment is an opportunity to be true, authentic, and in harmony with the world around us.

Tips for a Sustainable and Responsible Travel Experience

  1. Choose transportation with the least impact. First and foremost, to minimize our negative impact on the environment, we should be mindful of the modes of transport we use. Air travel, for example, is one of the most polluting. It's better to travel by train, bus, or bicycle. Of course, this might mean favoring nearby destinations over exotic ones located on the other side of the planet.
  2. Travel during low or shoulder seasons. This smart decision not only allows travelers to save on transport and accommodation while avoiding overcrowding but also benefits the preservation of the environment.
  3. Avoid single-use plastic products. Plastic waste is clearly a threat to the environment, especially to our oceans. While it may be difficult to eliminate plastic consumption entirely, we can adopt measures to limit its use (bring a water bottle from home, refuse straws for drinks, use glass or reusable cups, etc.).
  4. Buy and consume only local products. Sustainable and responsible travel also means supporting the economy of the countries where we choose to spend our holidays. This can be done by buying locally made souvenirs or choosing small restaurants run by locals.
  5. Leave no trace of your passage. A responsible tourist recycles and disposes of waste responsibly. At the same time, they take nothing away, so they don’t collect souvenirs like shells, stones, or sand.
  6. Respect local communities. Traveling sustainably means not only safeguarding the environment but also being respectful toward local communities. It's better not to take photos of people without their consent. Show respect for local customs; for example, dress appropriately according to the traditions of the country you’re visiting.
  7. Responsible management of water resources. Inside accommodations, we should adopt a conscious approach to linens, reusing them instead of discarding them after just one use. Additionally, we should use showers responsibly to limit water consumption.
  8. Implementation of sustainable energy solutions. Equip facilities with low-energy products, adopting efficient and cost-effective renewable energy sources. We also promote the use of energy-saving lamps and prevent excessive consumption through the use of timers.
  9. Reflect on what you’ve seen and who you’ve met when you return home. If you made commitments to local people (sending postcards, photos, or other small favors), try to keep them.
  10. Leave only your footprints and no trace of your passage in natural environments and archaeological sites. Do not purchase products made from endangered plants or animals. In natural areas, especially protected ones, always try to stay on paths and not disturb plants, animals, or their environment. Visit protected areas in small groups and preferably with a local expert guide.

Inclusion

Inclusion is the main pillar of our travels. We warmly welcome all those who are physically and psychologically able to take on our experiences.

In our approach, we reject any form of discrimination and avoid creating activities aimed at specific subcategories, such as singles, under-30s, over-50s, and so on. We believe that the true beauty of our trips lies in the diversity of our groups.

We have long recognized that those who choose to join our journeys are united by a shared desire for authentic connection with nature and a more essential lifestyle. This common purpose creates harmony within the group, putting all participants on the same wavelength. Differences in gender, age, religious beliefs, or interests become simply topics of conversation, perhaps around a modest campfire during dinner.

Our goal is to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment where every participant can feel comfortable and valued for their uniqueness. We are convinced that inclusion enriches travel experiences, transforming differences into opportunities for learning and personal growth.

Small Groups

Traveling with small groups is our top choice, with a number of participants ranging from 6 to a maximum of 10, depending on the destination or proposed activity. This decision is motivated by several factors:

  1. Greater Safety: A smaller group allows the guide to manage the situation more easily and respond quickly in case of an emergency. The safety of participants is our highest priority.
  2. Rapid Relationship Building: Smaller groups foster quicker bonds among participants. In remote situations, everyone’s collaboration is essential for the success of the experience, and forming a strong group connection is crucial.
  3. Lower Environmental Impact: A smaller group creates less environmental disturbance, such as noise, soil trampling, and biological waste. We are committed to preserving the environment and minimizing the impact of our activities.
  4. Moments of Silence: In a smaller group, it’s easier to achieve moments of silence, allowing each participant to connect more deeply with the surrounding environment. We believe such moments are essential for an authentic and meaningful experience.
  5. Personalized Attention: In smaller groups, the guide can dedicate more time to each participant, offering tailored advice and practical examples to support individual growth in hiking.

We recognize that larger groups could lead to higher profits, but we believe the benefits of traveling in smaller groups are far superior and more significant. Our priority is to provide safe, authentic, and environmentally respectful travel experiences.
