The journey begins in Cervia, riding through the pine forests of Classe and the Ortazzo Nature Reserve in a calm and immersive natural setting. The route continues with a visit to the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe, before heading towards the lagoons and the sea. One of the most scenic highlights is the Argine degli Angeli, a cycle path suspended over the water that crosses the Comacchio wetlands. The day ends in the charming town of Comacchio. Dinner and overnight stay in accommodation.

Km Stage: 96

Leaving Comacchio, the route enters the heart of the Po Delta, passing through the natural oases of Porto Garibaldi, Volano, and the Bosco della Mesola, a natural habitat of deer. In Goro, the Po River is reached and the characteristic floating bridge crossings are encountered. The ride continues through the scenic “Sacche” of Goro and Scardovari, in a unique landscape of water, silence, and unspoiled nature. 
Arrival in Porto Tolle, in the heart of the Delta. Dinner and overnight stay in accommodation.

Km Stage: 70

The route continues through the wetlands of the Venetian Po Delta, cycling among waterways, embankments, and unspoiled natural landscapes. The ride unfolds through scenic views until reaching Chioggia, the “Little Venice”, with its charming historic center crossed by canals and bridges. Dinner and overnight stay in accommodation.

Km Stage: 64

The final itinerary unfolds through a combination of cycling and boat transfer, along one of the most scenic sections of the entire journey. The route crosses the island of Pellestrina, with its landscapes suspended between sea and lagoon, then continues to the village of Malamocco before reaching the Lido of Venice. Arrival in the lagoon marks the highlight of the tour, with a short visit to the historic center of Venice. Return by train in the same day. End of services.

Travel Tour Overview

The Salt Route” is a four-day e-bike journey that leads from Cervia to Venice, crossing unique natural landscapes such as pine forests, lagoon wetlands, water embankments, and characteristic fishing villages of the Po Delta. The route is entirely flat and suitable for everyone, offering an active yet relaxed experience that alternates cycling along quiet roads and bike paths with moments of cultural discovery and group sharing, up to the scenic arrival in the Venetian lagoon.

The tour is designed to provide a complete, worry-free experience: it includes the accompaniment of expert guides throughout the journey, accommodation in selected hotels, dinners, and on-route assistance, allowing participants to focus entirely on the enjoyment of the trip.
Not included are lunches, extra beverages, transfers to and from the starting point, bicycle rental, any unspecified train or boat transfers, personal expenses, and anything not expressly mentioned in the included services.

Open to travelers of all ages. You can travel independently or in a group, with full support from the agency. On a group vacation, you may meet international participants with different habits from your own. On a cycling tour, you might ride alongside people with e-bikes or traditional bikes: respect everyone’s space and enjoy the experience. The tour is organized by local guides and operators, carefully selected to offer you a safe and unforgettable experience.
Remember to bring a valid passport or ID card, with an expiration date at least 6 months after the departure date. The itinerary may be subject to changes before and/or during the trip. On group tours and in certain villages, it may be necessary to stay in small, distributed accommodations due to the lack of large structures. Please inform us of any food intolerances at the time of booking: we will do our best to accommodate them, but cannot guarantee it. Local tourist taxes are to be paid on site.
