More information regarding the time and meeting point for the first/last day will be provided after the booking.

Meeting point at 10:00 at the junction of the Valnerina and Pontuglia roads, near Le Cese, Schioppo, Collefabbri, Nevi, and Contaglia. The Forra del Casco, nestled in the stunning Valnerina, is ready to offer you an unforgettable adventure that combines adrenaline and nature. The journey begins in the narrowest part of the canyon, where the rock walls close in around you, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Prepare to experience intense emotions as you navigate natural slides and rock jumps, leading to the spectacular 30-meter waterfall. Here, the adrenaline peaks: tackle the descent with a rope, surrounded by the roar of rushing water. After the waterfall, the valley opens up, revealing an environment rich in surprises. Slides and small waterfalls follow one another, framed by lush vegetation and time-worn rock walls. Every corner offers new perspectives and play of light, as the sun filters through the leaves. The canyoning experience at Forra del Casco is a mix of challenge, fun, and wonder, providing a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the Umbrian hills.

Travel Tour Overview

Canyoning is an unforgettable experience that will take you to explore the Forra del Casco, where the torrent has carved deep gorges over the millennia. Along the way, you will use various techniques to overcome obstacles: from rope descents to tackle higher waterfalls, to jumps into natural pools, and sliding down smooth rock toboggans, propelled by the current. Canyoning is an activity for everyone, not just for extreme sports enthusiasts. It can be practiced in fascinating gorges without any specific preparation, thanks to the assistance of our expert guides, who have an in-depth knowledge of the territory and safe progression techniques. With a bit of physical training, a spirit of adaptability, and a desire to have fun, an adventure in nature awaits you that will remain in your memories.

To fully enjoy this experience, we ask you to bring the following:

  • A swimsuit
  • A t-shirt
  • Sturdy sneakers with non-slip soles or hiking boots suitable for water
  • A towel or bathrobe
  • A complete change of clothes, including shoes, to leave in the car

Must-Know Details

By car: From Rome: take the A1 motorway and exit at Orte. From Perugia: take the E45 motorway and exit at Terni.

Open to travelers aged 12 and older (younger participants may be considered upon evaluation by the guides), a good state of health is required, and participants should not have a fear of heights. To reach the entrance of the canyon, a 45-minute walk on trails is necessary. The duration of the experience is approximately 5 hours, but the times may vary depending on the size and pace of the group, or any potential crowding in the canyon.
In the canyon, it is not possible to bring anything other than the necessary equipment; anything brought will definitely get wet. We recommend having a good breakfast in the morning, as there are no bars at the meeting point. You may bring a small bottle of water and one or more energy bars. For lunch after the excursion, we suggest bringing a packed lunch to leave in your car, or joining the "third half" with the guides, organized by our trusted bar! In case of bad weather, the flow of the streams may increase, even on a daily basis. In such cases, for safety reasons, the guides reserve the right to postpone or cancel the outing.
