Individual arrival in the picturesque town of Villach, Austria. Upon arrival, take advantage of the convenient parking options available near the hotel.
Start the second day of your bike tour by departing from Villach and following the Gail River. After a few kilometers, cross the Italian border and immerse yourself in the Val Canale region. Discover Tarvisio, a town where Italian, Austrian, and Slovenian cultures intersect, offering a captivating mix of traditions and history.

Begin the third day of your bike tour departing from Tarvisio, one of the main mountain destinations in Friuli Venezia Giulia and known for its ski resorts. Cycle through the picturesque Val Canale and take in the breathtaking beauty of the Friulian Alps and the pristine nature of its dense forests. Reach Tolmezzo or Venzone after approximately 55 km of scenic and immersive riding.

Today, our itinerary will guide you through the picturesque town of Gemona, one of Friuli's historical gems. Here, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta dominates the landscape, offering an unmissable opportunity for a visit. Along the way, you will have the chance to discover the local winemaking tradition: the route you'll travel is lined with lush vineyards that invite you to taste the region's fine wines. The day will conclude in Udine, a city with a past influenced by Venice but now characterized by a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to sip a coffee in the central Piazza della Libertà or stroll through the historic center to admire the beautiful examples of late Gothic and Renaissance art.

Today, carried by the Scirocco breeze, you'll journey through charming landscapes leading to Grado. Once a fishing village, Grado is now one of the most celebrated seaside destinations on the Adriatic. Take advantage of the scenic route to explore this captivating coastal town, which beautifully combines history and natural beauty.

The tour concludes with individual departure from Grado. However, you have the option to extend your stay and further explore this charming seaside destination on the Adriatic.
Travel Tour Overview
This cycling tour begins in Villach, Austria, before crossing into Italy and travelling through Friuli Venezia Giulia, a region known for its diverse landscapes and cultural traditions shaped by Alpine, Slovenian and Venetian influences. After crossing the Carnic Alps, the route follows cycle paths and quiet secondary roads all the way to the beaches of Grado, covering the final stretch of the famous Alpe Adria Cycle Route.
The journey is easy and suitable for everyone, including less experienced cyclists and participants aged 14 and above.
Accommodation is provided in 3-star hotels, with occasional 4-star options, and always includes breakfast. Luggage is transported daily from hotel to hotel, and before departure guests receive a video briefing along with a complete set of travel documents including maps, detailed route descriptions and useful contacts. The itinerary is supported by a dedicated navigation app and telephone assistance throughout the tour.
Lunches, dinners, drinks and entrance fees are not included, and local tourist taxes must be paid on site. Various types of bicycles can be rented: standard bikes (€ 89), higher-performance top bikes (€ 139), or e-bikes (€ 209).
For the return at the end of the tour, shuttle transfers are available on request on specific days from Grado to Villach (€ 79 per person + € 45 for transporting your own bike). Alternatively, return travel can be arranged by bus and train via Cervignano, Udine and Villach.
Parking options are available near the first hotel or in public, unattended areas.
