Gravel Bike Experience in a Camper Van

Arrive at the starting point in the morning and receive a warm welcome. After a possible test ride of the rented bikes and receiving the route maps, your great adventure towards the sky begins.The first part of the route winds along a white road by the river that leads to the town of Bucchianico. Along the way, you will find water points and attractions to visit, such as the Calcara di San Camillo and the curious Contea Gentile. Upon arriving in Fara Filiorum Petri, you can take a break to refresh yourself before the big climb. As you ascend, you will enter the Maiella National Park, recently recognized as a UNESCO Geopark. Here, you will encounter the Wolf Wildlife Area, where you might be lucky enough to see wolves in captivity. Continue along paved and unpaved sections, with numerous water sources, until you reach Passo Lanciano, where you can rest and relax. The grand finale will take you to Fonte Tettone (Mammarosa), close to the sky, with a 360° view that stretches from the mountains to the sea. Here, your Camper Van will be waiting, ready to host you for a special evening of freedom and relaxation. Enjoy some fine Abruzzo wine and local specialties. Live your dream!

After breakfast, you will hand over the Camper Van to our manager and start your descent towards Passo Lanciano. The first part of the route is very scenic before you join a dirt path that will take you on a long descent to the Abbey of San Liberatore a Maiella. Here, a short hike is recommended to admire the wetlands of the Alento River springs and the rock tombs of San Liberatore, as well as a visit to the Abbey itself. Continuing on, you will reach Serramonacesca, then follow the Alento River to just below Chieti, and finally to the town of Ripa Teatina, ending your journey by the sea in Francavilla. Return the bikes and conclude your experience, with the mountains and the sea as your backdrop. End of services.
