E-MTB Tour on the Island of Elba

After leaving your car in one of the parking areas at the port of Piombino, you will board the ferry to Portoferraio, bringing only your E-MTB, a backpack, and a trolley. We recommend not bringing your car on the ferry, as it will not be needed on the island and the ferry cost is quite high. With your tour registration, you will receive a 20% discount code for the ferry ticket. Upon arrival, a two-course dinner will be served at Hotel 3* Villa Ombrosa, located near the Ghiaie Beach, where you will spend the night. Hotel check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, allowing you to arrive in the afternoon and enjoy some relaxation before the tour officially begins. Dinner and overnight stay.

The day begins with a hearty breakfast at Hotel Villa Ombrosa, where you will meet the guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. After dropping off your luggage with the transfer service, which will take it directly to our accommodation in Marina di Campo, it’s time to set off for the first real stage of the ride! The route starts towards Enfola, following scenic white roads perched above the sea, before heading inland through a series of rolling single trails leading to Napoleon’s Villa. After a short break, we continue with a climb towards Monte Pericoli, located just behind the villa. Once at the top, we take on the Colle Pecorino Trail, an exciting 4 km single track that introduces the island’s rocky terrain and leads down to Procchio Beach. Depending on the group’s preferences, we may explore additional descents before heading toward San Giovanni Tower. From there, a long and picturesque single trail will take us all the way to Marina di Campo, where our Hotel Punto Verde awaits. In the evening, a delicious dinner is planned at 8:00 PM in a local restaurant, followed by a well-deserved rest.

After a hearty breakfast, we will leave our luggage with the transfer service and set off for an exciting stage towards the eastern part of the island. The first climb will take us to Monte Tambone and then to Monte Fanza, before heading inland to reach the Portoferraio Trail Area. From the summit of Monte San Martino, we will descend along the Barbatoia Trail, a technical and rocky route that will bring us back to the sea near Lacona. Depending on the time, the guide may decide to include a detour to Capo Stella, a scenic strip of land that separates Lacona Beach from Margidore Beach. We will then gain altitude again as we head towards the Elba Trail Area, home to the official single tracks used in E-Enduro competitions. For this day, an optional private shuttle service will be available for the climbs, allowing us to ride all the special stages of the E-Enduro race. Along the route, we will come across various snack bars and grocery stores where we can stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we will arrive at our accommodation, Hotel Villa Wanda in Lido di Capoliveri, where a well-deserved dinner and restful night await us.

The last day begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, followed by handing over your luggage to the transfer service, and setting off for the final adventure of the tour. The route initially heads inland through the Elba Trail Area, where we will tackle one of the island’s most iconic and challenging trails: the Buca del Bandito, a spectacular and technical trail, the perfect way to finish the experience in style. From the summit, the descent will lead us towards the Golfo di Magazzini, where we will follow a scenic white road along the sea, before entering a stunning rock canyon that leads to the Red Lake, located within the Rio Marina mining park. After a lunch break in Rio Marina and the handing over of your luggage, it will be time to say goodbye. From there, you will board the ferry which, in about 50 minutes, will take you back to Piombino, marking the end of this incredible E-MTB adventure on the Island of Elba.
